A high-efficiency rubber powder mill is at the core of the complete tire recycling solution Shuliy Machinery recently delivered to a client in Canada. The client aimed to establish a local business to convert waste tires into durable rubber floor tiles, achieving resource recycling and commercial value. Shuliy Machinery provided him with an end-to-end solution, from tire decomposition and powder production to final tile molding.

Client’s Needs and Challenges
The primary challenge for our Canadian client was to process waste tires of various sizes, with a maximum diameter of 1200mm. His ultimate goal was to produce high-quality rubber tiles in different specifications to supply local markets such as playgrounds, gyms, and walkways. Therefore, he required a complete and integrated production line that could seamlessly handle every step from raw material to finished product.

The Customized Solution: From Tire to Powder
Based on the client’s raw materials and production goals, we configured a complete and efficient rubber powder production line.
Step 1: Tire Pre-processing
We first equipped the production line with a tire dismantling machine. This machine easily removes the steel-wire bead rings from both sides of the 1200mm tires and cuts the remaining part into sections. This prepares the material for the subsequent shredding process and significantly improves the processing efficiency of the entire tire recycling line.
Additionally, the production line is equipped with a dedicated tire bead wire separator. This machine processes the bead rings that have been cut from the tires, efficiently separating the internal steel wire from the rubber. Meanwhile, the main tire body, with its beads removed, is sent directly to the shredder for the next stage of the crushing process.

Step 2: Coarse Shredding
The cut tire strips are fed into an 800 tire shredder, which quickly tears them into 3-8 cm rubber chips.

Step 3: Fine Grinding with the SL-400 Rubber Powder Mill
These rubber chips are then conveyed to the core of the system: the SL-400 rubber powder mill. This powerful rubber cracker mill grinds the chips into the required mesh size, while the line’s integrated magnetic and fiber separation systems automatically remove steel wire and nylon, ensuring the purity of the final rubber powder. The stable performance of our rubber powder mill was a key factor in the client’s decision.

From Powder to Product: Manufacturing High-Value Rubber Tiles
The high-quality powder produced by the rubber powder mill is the ideal raw material for making floor tiles. This powder is mixed with a binder and other additives in a 250 mixer and then placed into molds. Finally, through the high temperature and pressure of a hot press forming machine, the material is vulcanized into strong and durable rubber tiles.
To meet the client’s diverse market demands, we supplied molds for producing both 500x500mm and 1000x1000mm tiles in various patterns.

A Successful Partnership & Your Next Project
This project clearly demonstrates how a well-designed recycling line can turn waste into a profitable business venture. The Canadian client is now fully equipped to produce and sell high-quality rubber tiles in their local market.
