Egg tray molding machine recently began operation at a customer’s facility in Uzbekistan. The customer is new to the molded pulp packaging business and decided to start with a small-to-medium scale production line to test the market. After several discussions about production capacity and factory conditions, we recommended a suitable machine model that could meet the customer’s current needs while allowing room for future expansion.
Understanding the Customer’s Needs
This customer from Uzbekistan had no previous experience in egg tray production. Their main goal was to start the business with a moderate investment and stable output. They wanted a machine that was easy to operate and capable of producing trays efficiently.
During communication, the customer also expressed interest in producing trays of different sizes. Instead of running separate production batches, they hoped to produce two sizes at the same time. Based on this request, we discussed the option of using mixed molds and helped design a reasonable mold arrangement according to their requirements.
Egg Tray Molding Machine Configuration and Capacity
After reviewing several options, the customer finally selected the 4×4 egg tray molding machine. This model is equipped with 16 molds, and the production capacity is approximately 2500–3000 pieces per hour.
To meet the customer’s mixed-product requirement, the molds were arranged so that two different tray sizes can be produced in a single cycle. This setup helps improve production flexibility and allows the customer to supply different tray specifications to the local market.
Drying Solution with a Brick Kiln
For the drying stage, the customer chose to build a brick kiln locally. This is a common and economical drying solution for small and medium egg tray plants.
Our company supplied the conveyor belt system to connect the forming section to the drying area, allowing the wet trays to be transported smoothly into the kiln for drying.
Project Progress
After installation and testing, the egg tray molding machine has been running normally. The production line is now able to produce egg trays steadily, helping the customer take the first step in the molded pulp packaging business.
