A new egg tray manufacturing machine project has recently been completed at a customer’s factory in Cyprus. The customer ordered a complete production line from us to process waste paper into molded pulp egg trays.
Instead of purchasing only a forming machine, the customer chose a complete setup that covers pulp preparation, tray forming, and drying. The production line was installed and commissioned at the customer’s factory before being put into regular production.
From Waste Paper to Finished Egg Trays
The production process starts with the preparation of paper pulp. Waste paper is processed by the pulping system and then supplied to the egg tray forming section.
The egg tray forming machine shapes the prepared pulp into egg trays. After forming, the trays contain a certain amount of moisture and need to be dried before they can be collected and used.
For this project, the customer selected two drying rooms as part of the production solution. The drying system helps remove moisture from the formed trays and supports continuous production.

The forming machine supplied for this project is designed for a production capacity of 2,500–3,000 egg trays per hour.
This capacity provides the customer with a practical solution for medium-scale egg tray production. The final production output can also be affected by factors such as raw material preparation, drying conditions, and production management.
Production Started Successfully
After installation and commissioning, the complet eegg tray manufacturing machine was put into operation at the customer’s factory.
The customer later shared a production video with us, showing the machines working in the factory and the finished egg trays coming out of the production process.
