When large quantities of waste circuit boards need to be processed, manually removing electronic components can take considerable time and labor. Our PCB dismantling machine provides a mechanical solution for removing solder and electronic components from discarded PCB boards, preparing the boards and recovered components for further recycling.
The machine is mainly used as a pretreatment step in a PCB recycling line. After dismantling, the recovered PCB substrates, tin, and electronic components can be separately collected and sent to suitable downstream recycling processes.
What Can the PCB Dismantling Machine Process?
This PCB boards dismantling machine is designed for waste circuit boards collected from different electrical and electronic equipment. Typical materials include circuit boards from discarded household appliances, computers, electronic equipment, and other waste electrical and electronic equipment.
The main purpose is not simply to break the PCB into pieces, but to first remove the electronic components and solder attached to the board. This makes it easier to handle the remaining PCB material in the following recycling stages.
How Does the PCB Dismantling Process Work?
The dismantling process combines heating and mechanical separation.
First, waste PCB boards enter the heating section. The solder connecting the components to the circuit board is heated and softened. The treated boards are then transferred to the automatic dismantling section.
Mechanical action removes the loosened electronic components from the PCB substrate. During operation, the dust exhaust and collection system can collect dust generated during the dismantling process.
After separation, the main materials are collected separately:
Waste PCB Boards → Heating/Tin Removal → Mechanical Dismantling → PCB Substrates + Tin + Electronic Components
The separated materials can then be further sorted or processed according to their recycling value.
What Are the Main Components of a PCB Dismantling Machine?

Two Important Functions in PCB Dismantling
Tin Removal
Heating is an important part of the dismantling process. By heating the solder on the PCB, the connection between the electronic components and the board can be loosened, creating better conditions for mechanical separation.
The machine has an adjustable temperature range of 25–300°C and uses an automatic temperature control system.
Electronic Component Removal
After the solder has been heated, the automatic dismantling mechanism removes electronic components from the PCB board. This reduces the amount of manual work required compared with traditional hand dismantling.
The recovered components can be collected for further sorting, while the remaining PCB substrates can continue to the next recycling stage.
